Christmas 2010

Christmas has always been my favorite time of year, and every year it manages to get better and better, and I am more sad to see it come to an end. From watching the faces on family and friends as they open their gifts, to baking (and eating) cookies, drinking brandy slush, 24 straight hours of A Christmas Story, listening to Christmas music, seeing the lights at Irvine Park, Grandma Margaret's crazy dice game, playing board games, and just being with family....there really isn't anything else like this time of year. Being able to spend so much time with family, reminds me of how blessed we are to have such an amazing family...who I must add, spoiled our children rotten this year :) As much as I have always loved Christmas, I love it even more now that I have children. It was so much fun to see Owen's excitement as he opened gifts this year. He was very good at opening presents, and wanted us to open every gift he received so he could play with it. Unfortunately, he did not understand that a few of the gifts we had to wait to open until we got back at home...which inevitably led to some minor meltdowns. And Adam slept peacefully during all the gift opening :)

We are now back home from all of our holiday celebrations, and reality will set in tomorrow as Owen and Adam both go to daycare (Adam's first day...eek!), and Rob and I go back to work. Where does the time go?
