Happy Easter!!

Happy belated Easter to everyone! We had an eventful Easter weekend back in Chippewa Falls. Owen attended his first community Easter Egg hunt on Saturday morning. He caught on very quickly to the object and got a lot of yummy candy! They also had a fire truck and ambulance there that Owen got to climb in...I think he liked that more than the candy :)

The Easter Bunny even made an appearance!

After the Easter Egg hunt, our day consisted of decorating cookies, dying Easter eggs, and playing outside. Owen used the spoon to dye eggs for the first couple minutes, and then decided it was way easier to just suse his hands!

Easter Sunday was a little hectic. Owen woke up running a fever, and even threw up a little :( We found out later that he had his first case of strep throat. However, with a little tylenol, Owen was ready to enjoy his Easter basket, and look for more Easter eggs. Adam also enjoyed his first Easter...though he was more interested in eatting the green Easter grass.

Even the big "kids" enjoyed the Easter egg hunt!

Now Presenting...

Our new PLAYSET!!! :) On Saturday we had our new playset installed! I was a little nervous given that the weather man had predicted snow, but we barely got a dusting and it all worked out. Owen absolutley loved it... now the trick is to try to get him back in the house when we go outside :) Here are just a few pictures of Owen playing on his new playset (Adam was napping). I have more pictures of Adam also enjoying his new bucket sing, but I don't have them downloaded yet. I will post some soon.

7 months

Ohhh, I just LOVE that smile :)

So I'm a little late on the 7 month post, AND I realized I never gave updates on his 6 month appointment. Oh, how time just seems to get away from us these days.

Anyway, let me tell you a little bit about what Adam is doing these days. He eats three solid meals of pureed foods a day. We have been enjoying introducing different table foods during mealtime also. He seems to prefer table food over his baby food (and who can blame him). He also is getting a little more coordinated with bringing foods to his mouth.

He still is a pretty decent sleeper. He takes two solid naps, and sleeps at night for about 10 -11 hours. He goes to bed with a blankie and his nuk, though he never falls asleep with the nuk in his mouth. I was just telling Rob the other day that we should probably just ditch the nuk all together now, given that he really doesn't need it, and then we won't have to deal with it when he's 2 :)

One of his most recent tricks is getting on his hands and knees, and getting on his hands and feet (like a bear crawl). Still not a lot of crawling on his hands and knees, but he has become very good at belly crawling, and will use this to get into all kinds of mischief :). He is gets out of sit like a pro, and is soooo close to get himself back into a sitting position. He gets about half way there, and then seems to get stuck.

Adam loves watching Owen! The two of them are constantly making goofy sounds back and forth. Owen loves trying to make Adam laugh by blowing on his belly, tickling his sides, and playing peek-a-boo. It is so fun to see their relationship grow and change as they both get older. I have been documenting just how much they seem to love each other right now so that in 16 years I can pull these pictures back out when they are getting on eachother's last nerve. :)

Happy 7 Months to our little Adam man!!
