Goodbye Curls

Rob has been asking me to get Owen's haircut for the last couple of months, and I have been dreading the day that I would have to take Owen in to get those beautiful curls chopped off. Well, this past week I finally gave in and we took Owen to Kid's Hair in Eden Prairie for his very first haircut. The lady who cut his hair was extremely nice, and put up with "that crazy mom" who needed to document every little detail of her son's first haircut. Owen looked like such a big boy sitting in the salon chair. He was really, really well behaved the entire time...I think he was in awe of the whole experience. And he absolutley loved when she brought out the blow dryer! :) After all was said and done (and I got my little envelope with some of those first curls), he looked like such a handsome little boy with his new do. I can't believe how quickly he is growing up!

Our Little Fish

We spent this past weekend in La Crosse spending time with the Kieffers. On Saturday we took a day trip to Dyersville, IA to visit Grandma Kieffer's hometown and to visit the Field of Dreams. It brought back many memories of watching that movie over and over again on family trips :) On Sunday we decided to take Owen to the Erickson Pool in La Crosse. He absolutley loves the water!! He had a lot of fun playing in the water with his aunts and uncles. Rob and I have decided that we are just going to send Owen to his Uncle Andy and Aunt Janelle for swimming lessons :) Rob took Owen down the water slide on his lap, and once he started that fun adventure, that was the only thing that Owen wanted to do. He would barely be at the end of the slide, and you could hear him yelling "ma" (more) and pointing to the slide. Luckily dad and Uncle Andy were having just as much fun taking him down the slide. Blogging World

Well, we have decided to take the giant leap into the blogging world. This seems to be the most effecient an fun way to keep all of our loved ones up to date on the craziness that will become our life :) As many of you know, we have hit the 32 week mark with baby boy Kieffer number 2. We have yet to decide on a name; however we do have it narrowed down to seventeen :) It is going to be a long process, and there is a good chance that this little boy will not have a name until he enters this world and we get to set our eyes on him. We are so excited to keep you updated with all the new events of the coming months, stories of our boys, and our family as we continue down this wonderful journey.
